Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNO): Asserting that J&K Police shares grief and stands firmly with families of Nowgam blast victims, Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Monday said that force is committed to provide all possible help to the NOKs of the deceased and assistance to the injured.
According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), DGP Prabhat, along with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir V K Birdi and other top officials visited Hariparigam village in Tral, Gazaliabad HMT in Srinagar, and Chansar in Kulgam to offer condolences to the families of Crime Branch photographer Javaid Mansoor Rather, senior grade constable Ajaz Ahmad Mir, and policeman Arshid Ahmad Shah.
During the visits, the DGP and IGP assured the families of full support from the J&K Police and said the sacrifices of the personnel would always be remembered.
Talking to the reporters DGP Prabhat said, “We will never forget them. All necessary assistance will be extended to all the affected families.”
He expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and assured them that the J&K Police would remain connected with them.
The DGP said that support measures for the families of all nine persons killed in the explosion are being coordinated.
He issued directions for completing all formalities and ensuring timely support and welfare measures for the families of the martyrs.
Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi said the police department stands with the bereaved families and expressed condolences on behalf of the force—(KNO)
